In the end, there were no significant injuries as Manchester City managed to emerge unscathed despite a first-half scare caused by Club Brugge.

Who have qualified for the Champions League Round of 16?

These teams - Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Lille and Aston Villa - have secured their place in the next stage, the Round of 16. But the remaining 16 teams will have a two-match tie to secure one of the remaining eight spots.

Which teams have progressed to the Champions League knockout rounds?

Twenty-four teams will compete in the knockout stages next month, including Atalanta, Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, PSV Eindhoven, Paris Saint-Germain, Benfica, Monaco, Brest, Feyenoord, Juventus, Celtic, Manchester City, Sporting CP, and Club Brugge.

What opponents may Manchester City potentially face?

Manchester City may have dodged elimination, but they have arranged for a thrilling matchup in the knockout stages. Pep Guardiola's squad will face either Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.

"We experienced a lot of hardships, but we ultimately achieved our goal of qualifying. The draw is, well, a draw. We'll have to wait and see. Facing Bayern or Real Madrid will be a very challenging task. However, that's two weeks away, and by then, we'll have some players returning from injury and our new signings available. We're hoping to play two solid games," he said as captured by Managing Madrid.

If they defeat one of those top contenders, they will face either Atletico Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen in the next round, the Round of 16.

Who can Arsenal and Liverpool draw?

The teams bidding for the Premier League title have been given a brief respite from their league matches and will have to wait for the knockout phases to discover their next opponents.
